How do you market on the web?

The easiest way to market your website is to get a large number of "back-links". Back-links are links on other websites that point to your site. Back-links are important because visitors use these links to find your website, if your website does not rank highly in the search engines back-links may be the only way for people to find your website. Now before you run off to see where you can get back-links theres more you should know. Back-links are great but not from just anywhere. Your back-links should come from sites that are related to yours and those sites should have a higher Page Rank.

What is a Page Rank

A page rank is a number value assigned to a website by one of the biggest search engines around, Google.com. Page Rank is determined by several different factors like the amount of traffic a site has, number of back-links going to the site, amount of origional relavant content, etc...

Page rank can take weeks or years to grow depending on the quality of the website, how often original content is added and the website's popularity.
